Week 9

Today 31/03/2017 is the last Management and Information System lecture before eastern holiday and our lecture teacher went through the last three slides of last week topic teaching us about Advanced Cloud Applications. I learned about how supercomputers can help solve some of the complex tasks business face and how we can support the environment by using green computing.
During the rest of the lecture our professor went explained us how to submit the course work fro the module.

Week 8

Sorry for being late with posting the blog for the lecture on Friday the 17/03/2017 but I was really busy that day making the video for the course work of MIS.

Today the topic of Management Information System was about Relational Databases & Cloud Computing.

Haider, our lecturer, spoke about the importance of organizing data by using related fields. Every group of data can be related to other data that builds relationships of databases, it is important to be able to manage this relationship between data. Business can use specific softwares designed to create databases and then manipulate data in them, this are called database management system (DBMS).

Week 7

Today the lecture topic was about "Enhancing Business Intelligence Using ISs". Business Intelligence is really important when it comes to run successfully a business. Gathering and analyzing information helps the business to make better decisions. One of the topics was about Databases and the differences between Data, Queries and Reports and the importance of BI application to support human and automated decision making to predict the future.

Week 6

Today 10-03-2017 our MIS lecture was about how to improve oraganisational effectiness and productivity of the business by implementing and using Entreprise Information System. The morning lecture was well organised and interesting understanding how to apply in real work cases Information Systems.

Week 5

During todays lecture we had a guest speaker talking about differences between Managers and Leaders. Leaders are usually more emotional than managers who are more rational and analytical. I found the lecture really smooth and interesting.
